April is youth month!
April is National Credit Union Youth Month and serves to promote lifelong healthy money habits by making savings fun and exciting. The official theme is “Be a credit union saver and your savings will never go extinct”. This Jurassic theme makes saving for the future fun and helps younger members appreciate the importance of putting money aside.
New youth accounts
During the month of April, when new youth members open a youth savings account, KCCU will make the first $5 deposit into their account.
Youth Month Raffle
KCCU is also offering young savers the chance to win a $25 deposit into their savings account. Members 12 and under can complete a coloring sheet to be entered into the drawing. Youth ages 13-17 can enter by submitting a short essay. One winner from each age group will be randomly selected.

How do you earn and save your money, and what are you saving for?
One winner per age group:
