About Margie

Margie joins KCCU with over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry! In her role of Mortgage Sales Manager she is responsible for overseeing and supporting the KCCU team of mortgage originators. She also is responsible for cultivating loan growth, and enabling greater mortgage accessibility for members in the Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids markets.

Margie has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. She is licensed in Property/Casualty insurance and is a member of the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Western Michigan.

Over the course of her career, Margie gained experience as a mortgage loan officer, as well as a home equity specialist. Both positions allowed her the opportunity to work closely with borrowers, to process loans and gain a deeper understanding of the borrower’s needs. Margie truly enjoys working with members and helping them achieve their dreams of owning a new home!

Outside of the office, Margie enjoys golfing, boating and spending time with family and friends.

Amanda Smith serves KCCU members as a mortgage originator in the Greater Battle Creek region. She has built a career at the credit union for over 10 years and served in a variety of management and leadership roles. Her experience ranges from teller to regional manager, giving her a deeper understanding of finance, credit and member needs. Whether you are looking to purchase a home or refinance an existing loan, Amanda’s knowledge of all KCCU’s mortgage products will ensure she can help you choose the one which best fits your financial needs. About Trina

Trina Smith serves KCCU members as one of our mortgage loan originators in the Greater Battle Creek region. She is knowledgeable with all of KCCU’s real estate loan products, including fixed-rate mortgages (10, 15, 20, and 30 year terms), refinancing opportunities, FHA, VA, rural development, and construction loans, to name a few. Trina’s main focus is finding the right loan to meet the individual’s needs and while building strong, long lasting relationships. “Buying a home is an important and memorable time in someone’s life. I love to make this experience as smooth as possible. I live to serve in my everyday life from work to home, and I do everything I can to best serve our members.” Trina has over a decade of lending experience. She joined the KCCU team in 2012 as a retail member service rep, and later became a business development originator. Prior to joining KCCU, Trina spent seven years working in new home sales and mortgage origination in Texas. While in Texas, she attended Austin Community College and Austin Institute of Real Estate. Trina is an active member of the Battle Creek Area Association of Realtors (BCAAR), and serves on the PR Committee. She is fluent in Spanish and has been known to help bridge language barriers for non-English speaking members. Outside of the office, Trina is a busy mom of three. She actively volunteers at her children’s school and extra curricular activities. She also enjoys running, but admits to being a “fair weather runner”.
